Is Abu Dhabi a Sprint weekend?
No. Abu Dhabi is a standard Grand Prix weekend with three practice sessions, qualifying and the race.
The FIA's official six-event 2026 Sprint calendar names China, Miami, Canada, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Singapore. Abu Dhabi is not included. Pages that advertise an Abu Dhabi Sprint are describing the wrong season or an unofficial schedule.

Is the Abu Dhabi race free on Apple TV?
Apple says all Formula 1 practice sessions are available free in the Apple TV app during 2026 and that selected races may also be free. Apple has not identified Abu Dhabi as a free race weekend in the official material reviewed.
That means Practice 1, Practice 2 and Practice 3 can be treated as confirmed free sessions under the current season policy. Do not claim that qualifying or the race is free unless the Abu Dhabi event tile explicitly says so closer to December.

Channel 4's agreement with Sky provides free-to-air UK highlights of every Formula 1 qualifying session and Grand Prix through the 2026 season. Abu Dhabi is not the British Grand Prix, so Channel 4 should not be presented as a live race route.

Yas Marina Circuit facts
Formula 1 lists the current Yas Marina configuration at 5.281 km, with 58 laps and a race distance of 306.183 km. The first Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was held in 2009.
The official page lists Kevin Magnussen's 1:25.637 from 2024 as the circuit's fastest race lap on the current configuration. Circuit records and session timetables can change if the layout or sporting schedule changes.
The race begins before sunset and continues under floodlights, so the visual conditions change during the event. That does not alter the published 5:00 p.m. GST race start.
