Our recommendations are based on a documented process appropriate to the product being reviewed.

What we record

Where applicable, we record:

  • Purchase date and whether access was purchased, provided, or trial-based
  • Test country or region
  • Internet connection type and measured speed
  • Device model, operating system, and application version
  • Setup time and difficulty
  • Channel or video start time
  • Buffering, interruptions, and error messages
  • Video resolution or bitrate when it can be measured reliably
  • Electronic program guide accuracy
  • Device compatibility and simultaneous-stream limits
  • Customer-support response time and quality
  • Cancellation, renewal, and refund experience
  • Published company information and licensing transparency

Repeatable testing

Services being compared should be tested under reasonably similar conditions. Important live-stream tests should include busy viewing periods where practical. We retain dated notes and screenshots while a review remains active.

Scores

Start2Watch may score services across reliability, picture quality, usability, device support, customer support, value, transparency, and other criteria stated in the review. The scoring formula and material limitations should be visible to readers.

Large advertised channel or VOD counts are not treated as verified facts unless Start2Watch can validate them. Provider claims are labeled as claims.

Updates

Streaming products change frequently. A high previous score does not guarantee current performance. We show the last-reviewed date and may change a score when new testing supports the change.
